HOW TO ORGANIZE THE TRIP

The Galapagos Islands form the Galápagos Province of Ecuador and are part of the country’s National Park. Apart from some walking around the little towns all excursions to the islands are to be carried out with guides of the National Park. It’s important to book the nights in hotels and excursions by boat or cruise prior to departure, the seats are limited and often full.

There are two ways to visit the Galápagos: sleeping in the hotel and taking daily excursions, or on board of a cruise ship.

The hotels are concentrated in Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Island) and a lesser extent in Puerto Baquerizo (San Cristobal Island) and Puerto Villamil (Isabela Island). The boat tours of one-day that depart from these places always offer lunch on board and are accompanied by a naturalist guide of the Galápagos National Park. You can organize tours of different duration. However for a satisfactory visit to the islands is usually recommended a minimum stay of 4 days up to a maximum of 12-14 days.

Cruises to the Galapagos are different. You sleep and eat on board. Even in this case we provide daily excursions with  guides of the Galapagos National Park. Cruises have a duration ranging from 4 to 15 days. There are yachts of small and medium size, and cruise ships much bigger for up to 100 passengers.

The Galápagos are one of the most popular places for diving. There are offers of specific trips with dive master and diving equipment rentals. In this case, you must book the tour in advance. You cannot diving alone, you will be always accompanied by a guide and we must always rely on agencies that has permission to do this kind of activity.

WHEN TO GO TO THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS

You can easily visit the Galápagos all year round. The warmest months are from October to March. In these months you can make long baths in the sea.
